They have been merged. I think there is a remark about that somewhere on the
download page at bestbits.
I tried ACLs with ext3 just a few days ago and it works. The only hard thing
for me was to figure out that I had to use those additional mount options
(setting default mount options with tune2fs doesn't seem to work).
