Hopefully the age of the wizard is gone <G>.  While he 
looks like a helper he keeps you from gaining knowledge 
<G>.  Seriously, using Gentoo will give you an excellent 
understanding of how things really work.  When I ran 
Caldera and RH I did not use the GUI wizards simply 
because I wanted to know how things worked - not just 
point and click.

And another big problem with the GUI is that many times it 
just flat doesn't work or worse messes up the config 
files.
