CONFIG_SOUND_VIA82CXXX=y

Could this be one of the reasons I can't get my sound going?
Still struggling to get win4lin going. I noticed on the Win4Lin site they note:
"Therefore, under Processor type and features, be sure that Maximum Physical Memory is set to 1GB. Selecting 1GB creates the entry CONFIG_1GB=y in the .config file."
I can't find CONFIG_1GB=Y in my config file, and in the menuconfig under the processor type and featurs option the nearest I can see to answer to the memory question is N, rather than a specific amount. Can I just insert this into .config, and if so where abouts - ie are the entries specifically in order?
Any comments and help appreciated
