df tells you what's used on the partitions (df -h for human readable format).

du -h / will tell you who uses what space. There may be other options that will allow you to specify size, etc. for search.

You can also use a find command to find files of larger than x size.

Hello,

Is there a tool around that can tell me which packages on my system are
taking up how much disk-space? I'm getting to the stage where my root
partition is fairly full and if I've got packages I don't really need
sitting around then I could remove them to regain the space.

Anyone know of anything like this?

Cheers,

Andy
