i've been using a modified gentoo-1.2 install cd as a router for a while now
(what else do you do with a box that has no hard drive?) and until recently
there were absolutely no problems with it (save the actual setup).
but this morning, i got out of bed to find that the box had died with a kernel
panic! i rebooted and it's working fine again.
now i know that this isn't much to go on, but since it was a kernel panic, i
didn't have much to work with. but is there anything that anyone knows of
that might have caused this?
this is what's installed and running on the box:

iptables 1.2.7a
dhcpcd 1.3.22_p3-r3
