Well, I suppose I could try one of the alternatives.  I don't think I'm
doing a lot of CFLAG stuff.  This is my first installation, so I didn't go
hog wild.  OK, I'm doing two in parallel, one (at work) on a Sony Vaio and
one (at home) on an Apple Powerbook.  So I kept it pretty simple.
