No I did not compile sshd with the tcpd USE option and can not access my log files from work (which is where I am at now). I will try to sift through the log files when I get home. And I have not adjusted /etc/hosts.allow or /etc/hosts.deny , could these be the culprit?

Is there anything being logged in /var/log/messages, /var/log/secure, or /var/log/syslog? Did you you compile sshd with the tcpd USE option?
