I noticed the missing file too. I upgraded to the latest ebuild and crontab no longer complains. But, I still get no output from logwatch at all. I have tried running logwatch.pl and having the results sent by email or by sending it to stdout (using the options in /etc/log.d/conf/logwatch.conf) but I get nothing. Have you actually tried running logwatch.pl to see if it does anything?
