I'd like to rebuild my gentoo partition using new cflags, but I'm loath to give up the machine for the many hours it takes. I'm considering chrooting into it from my debian sid partition (chroot /gentoo /bin/bash) and running the emerge. Are there downsides to this, other than slowing things down?
