Hi. I have been using Samba for some time now. Enjoying the flexibility it offers for sharing files. But lately I have been paying attention to the resources it uses. I notice when a file share is mounted through Samba and folders are clicked on, top will read 9 to 10 percent on the CPU. If a rather large file or many files are being moved around Samba will use a good chunk of the processor. Up to 50 percent plus. Just curious if this is normal behavior for such a tool or my build or PC just plain old sucks.
