I'm trying to get vsftpd set up to run on my machine. After installing it from ports, I followed the directions listed in the intall document on their website. I am trying to run it on its own first before putting it in xinetd. As recommended I added "listen=YES" to the end of the config file. When I run the service all I get is:
# /usr/sbin/vsftpd /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf & 500 OOPS: socket Im not really sure what I am doing wrong here. It seems that its not binding correctly. I don't see anything more about this in my log files. I checked the vsftpd FAQ and couldnt find anything there. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Calendar - Free online calendar with sync to Outlook(TM). http://calendar.yahoo.com -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
