It's nothing radical really, just a bunch of programs getting updated.

No reason to hesitate, or if you dont want up to date software and
everything works, no reason to upgrade.

Might take rather long, mozilla is pretty big and so are kde things (I
think). Others are pretty small progs.

With huge or at least big emerges, I've downloaded the stuff first with:
emerge world -uDf

and started the emerge when going to bed or work.
