I have the SMC wireless access point from dabs.com which is pretty functional 
and pretty cheap.  The main reason for me getting it was because it was the 
cheapest model I could find which allowed MAC address filtering, with a 
default deny policy.

I then plummed for the cisco aironet pcmcia card but frankly there are others 
that are cheaper and work just as well under *nix.  I cant remember the 
chipset name, but there is a certain chipset which is well supported.  Im 
sure a quick search of previous posts or through the forums would quickly 
find it tho.
