My laptop, HP ZE4125, also generates a lot of heat. So, I picked up one of the following: http://www.targus.com/product_details.asp?sku=PA239U. It give the laptop room to breathe underneath. The also have another one that is not real portable but can be adjusted. Best Buy usually carries these in store too.
