For some reason, X does not seem to be using direct rendering on my laptop with a Radeon Mobility M6. I'm using the radeonfb for the consoles, I have xfree-4.3.0 installed and dri-4.3.0 (or whichever one goes with that version of X).
The output of glxinfo | grep render is the following: bash-2.05b$ glxinfo | grep render libGL error: InitDriver failed direct rendering: No OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect I get the libGL error whenever I start most apps. I have a couple thoughts: 1) this has to do with the radeonfb for consoles. 2) my libGL got fubar'd at some point. Any help? MIKE -- Beware the JabberOrk -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
