I tried makeactive still no luck. It still says 
Booting 'Windows 2000 Pro'

Root(hd(0,0)
   Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x7
Makeactive
Chainloader +1

Error 13: Invalid or unsupported executable format

Any other idea how to boot NTFS from grub ?
