Hey all,
I thought I'd finally jump on the prelink bandwagon, so I emerged it and gave
it a try. At first just prelinking a couple things to see what happened, and
them maybe the whole system with 'prelink -av'.
Bad idea.
An awful lot of my applications started segfaulting instantly once they had
been prelinked. Things that really ought to have worked, like konqueror,
kate, quanta etc...
(I admit I didn't really try much on non KDE stuff. I know it's supposed to
work with KDE and if it doesn't it's not much use to me. KDE is where I need
the speedup prelink should give me).
Prelink is now considered stable, and most people seem to be able to do this.
Any idea where I might be having problems?
