I used this link to get the new kazaa lite kpp edition running.

You might look into lmule. It's in portage but masked. You can lookup things by the md5 and make sure your getting the file that you want. Unlike kazaa where some shmo renames the file, you download it and it's crap. It's also faster just in the way it downloads chunks from several people at the same time then puts it back together to make the file.

try that out. Its got options for ALL networks, including
bittorrent, which i think is weird. You can search for files becuase
there's no central server etc etc.

anyway it seems interesting.
