Right.  So why does the mod_php ebuild think it needs to?  If
virtual/mta is satisfied, why is it trying to upgrade the package that
satisfies it?  (Ie. if I don't mask postfix and try to "emerge -up
world", then it wants to upgrade postfix, something that I explicitly
don't want.)  I'm thinking that there's something funny with the mod_php
ebuild/eclass.

And as for Ohad Lutzky [EMAIL PROTECTED], thanks for the suggestion,
but that doesn't address the problem I'm having.  I don't actually want
net-mail/ssmtp;  virtual/mta is indeed set to postfix, which is correct.
