Well I tried exactly that (hdd=ide-scsi in grub.conf) with ide-scsi as module, but k3b says it finds no cd-rw device; and besides I cannot read any cd anymore?? I know this is due to the 'hdd=ide-scsi' in grub.conf because when I remove that I can read cd's as usual. My cd-burner works perfectly with all other distros I have tried. What did I miss?
