I've emerged bind-9.2.2 and tried to getit working (I have a complete bind config on that machine defining several domains since I'm upgrading from Suse to Gentoo). However, when I try to start it, it fails.
The only hint I found in the logs was "permission denied" for the run .pid file. Could anybody shed some light on what's missing here? Best regards,
