Tuesday I ran emerge sync, and emerge -u world on my laptop (main machine) then ran the etc-update.
and so on for hundreds of modules, some which are loaded and used, some which are not.
Me too, on an Compaq EVO N800C. Everything was fine before, during start modprobe gives me lots of those "can't locate module xyz" messages. This happens during start of hotplug. Any hints would be appreciated.
