alright cool. just one more question, for lilo.conf were it says "default" and "lable" i can have them say anything right? Like both of them saying "Gentoo" instead of "linux"?
Yes, but I believe that lilo is restricted to one-word labels, unlike grub. So be careful with that or you could have some problems.
