I have gotten Gentoo and a Latitude LS up and running but have found some weird
issues:
NIC works
LT Modem works
X works
Running 1.4RC4 from stage 1 and here are weird issues I have found:
Using BIOS A09
The sound works properly but I get cracks during MP3 playback using XMMS
I am using the kernel driver nm256
If I send a reboot it hangs at the POST screen
Not sure why this occurs and it's not always consistent
If I send a reboot the system reboots but hangs in the kernel
Doing cold boots seems to resolve the issue for both reboot problems
Should I set the BOIS to "Windows" support, currently I have it set
to "other"
If any one needs help with setting up a Lat LS I can send you my install
notes :)
