Hello again. I've been trying to install cdrdao, which works, and gcdmaster (AKA xcdrdao) which doesn't install.
I always get this error: checking for gtkmm-config... no checking for GTK-- - version >= 1.2.9... no *** The gtkmm-config script installed by GTK-- could not be found *** If GTK-- was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the GTKMM_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to gtkmm-config. *** The gtkmm-config script was not available in GTK-- versions *** prior to 0.9.12. Perhaps you need to update your installed *** version to 0.9.12 or later Disabled building of xcdrdao. I installed the gtkmm package, but gtkmm-config wasn't installed with it. From searching the forums it seems that pkg-config is the "new" way of doing this. I tried linking pkg-config to gtkmm-config (I didn't really expect this to work, but I figured what the heck), and I get this: checking for gtkmm-config... /usr/bin/gtkmm-config checking for GTK-- - version >= 1.2.9... Must specify package names on the command line Must specify package names on the command line no *** Could not run GTK-- test program, checking why... *** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the *** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK-- was incorrectly installed *** or that you have moved GTK-- since it was installed. In the latter case, you *** may want to edit the gtkmm-config script: /usr/bin/gtkmm-config Disabled building of xcdrdao. Can this work, or is the cdrdao package too old to properly do this (depending on obsolete versions?), or am I doing something wrong? Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks!
