Well, not really! Sure, I'm not worried about the free space it's just
that I haven't seen this on any of the other Linux boxes I have access
to (>15 mixtures of Gentoo, Debian, SuSE, RedHat). And given that this
is strange behaviour could this be what's causing problems with my sound
nodes. Where does it come from???
