I've been having some problems after upgrading my kernel to 2.4.21 (which
probably has more to do with my failure to configure it properly, rather than a
problem with the kernel itself). One of these problems is with esound (I think).

When I try to compile libgtkhtml-3.0.7 (for evolution), it fails with a bunch of
undefined references to libesd.a:

/usr/lib/libesd.a(audio.o)(.text+0xc15): In function `esd_audio_read':
: undefined reference to `snd_pcm_frames_to_bytes'
/usr/lib/libesd.a(audio.o)(.text+0xde8): In function `esd_audio_write':
: undefined reference to `snd_pcm_frames_to_bytes'

I've attached a complete list of undefined references, if it helps.

Also, XMMS, which I previously used with the eSound plugin, now fails to play.
It works fine with the OSS Driver, though. This worked fine before I upgraded
the kernel.

I've tried re-emerging esound, but that didn't help. The soundcore.o and
i810_audio.o modules load fine. I'm not sure what else to try, can anyone help?

Thanks,
Peter
