Ahh, I see. Thank you. It sounds like the Gnome people are the culprit. What a hassle to have to pull in tons of stuff for one app.
Indeed. I think KDE are superior in that they include fewer larger base packages rather than zillions of smaller dependencies like gnome. Let me clear however that I don't use either.
