TTCP (Test TCP) has become more a concept than a single application these days. the basic idea is that you put up a sender and a receiver and see how much data your connection can move. it is only usable if you have access to machines on both ends of the connection you're looking to test. keep in mind that you'll want to have few hops between your boxes, you don't want your ISPs backbone to another country to affect the results. one of the original versions can be found here: <url: ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/network/monitoring/ttcp/ >. there are also java versions out there "in the wild". -- Terje -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
