Hi, I have been asked to install gentoo on a p4 with hyperthreading as part of a benchmarking series. I havent been able to find much on hyperthreading and gcc-3.2.3. Does it support HT? what are the best CFLAGS ? Does the sse2 bug still exist in this version of gcc?
It looks like an smp kernel is needed - is 2.6 better than 2.4, and which sources? BillK On Mon, 2003-07-21 at 16:54, Matthias F.
