I've begun to install Gentoo 1.4_rc4, and I noticed that it's telling
me to mount the proc filesystem with the following command:

        mount -t proc proc /mnt/gentoo/proc

I seem to recall that earlier versions of the install document had me
mount it with:

        mount -o bind -t proc proc /mnt/gentoo/proc

And the '-o bind' was significant because the bootstrap system already
has a proc filesystem mounted.

My question: is this an omission in the new instructions, or is '-o bind'
no longer necessary?
