Does anyone know of a good laptop to run linux on (preferably gentoo)? The only graphical program I intend to run is Mozilla, otherwise I will use text based programs. I guess I just want a dumb terminal that can do X.
I was wondering, since gentoo is a source-based distrobution, how *slow* of a computer can be useful? Would mozilla run well on a Pentium II-266 Mhz? I realize there are other browsers like links & lynx, but they don't seem to render most pages correctly. What does X need to run smoothly, say as a dumb terminal? I was also hoping it could last more than 3 hours on battery without weighing a ton.... (and be able to use a wireless network card). I suppose this is too much... -Alex -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
