Well, it probably well, but I don't think Gentoo will be able to take full advantage of the G5 yet - or does the latest version of GCC already incorporate all of Apple's G5 patches? Anyway, if you're planning to do serious video work, you probably ought to use OS X anyway. (Horrors!) As great as Linux is, I don't think there's a lot of movie editing software for Linux, other than perhaps film-gimp; however, OS X has a lot of media software available. -- Andrew Farmer [EMAIL PROTECTED]
