Hello, Having stayed on 2.4.x for all this time I decided to plunge into 2.6.0_beta2 hoping that by now things may have stabilised a little.
I encountered some problems that were resolved either by including more options in kernel or by re-emerging baselayout and module-init-tools. However, there's one problem that just refuses to go away. When I start xdm my laptop touchpad just won't work. I have not modified my /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 at all but am pretty sure all kernel options are included and more.
