Settings under [Settings]->[Configure] that manage the window focus. If you activate "Focus New Windows" it will automatically give focus to the newly activated window. You can also change the "Focus Model" from "click-to-focus" to one of the two "sloppy" models so you don't have to click to give focus on every window (focus is given by the window the mouse cursor overs over.. etc.).
