this box does not run X .. it seems to have just started.. its been running
fine ..

the problem just seems to have appeared.. i can boot to a prompt, but i must
try multiple times before i get lucky ..

dmesg shows nothing ..

i am using vanilla-sources only patched with grsecurity

no modules in autoload

both
/etc/conf.d/local.stop
/etc/conf.d/local.start
contain no values/cmds/apps to run..

i have recompiled my kernel. with less options ..

cant understand why its hanging ..
