Check /etc/fstab. Ihave

usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs rw,devmode=0660,devgid=432 0 0


I don't have it in my vfat, but it still mounts it:
# mount | grep usb
none on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)



I think it does not mount because I get after #mount:

usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)
/dev/sdb1 on /mnt/usbHD type vfat (rw,nodev,uid=1000,gid=105).

Why do You not change fstab?
