to be fair, I dont think its documented. More 'heavily implied' mixed with a little Gentoo experience.... emergeing mod_php without apache2 in your USE flags, will cause [AFAIK] it to be compiled as if its to be used with apache 1.3.x . As apache2 is now one of the available use flags, as listed at http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/use-index.xml then portage will compile mod_php for use with apache2. > I hate asking questions if I can read some docs first.
