Hi all.

This is my first attempt at installing Gentoo, and I've run into a problem during the install. The problem is that I'm just not sure how to go forward when told to modify the "USE" flags in make.conf.
I'm coming from the world of RedHat here, so I'm used to having my hand held all the way through the install. I decided to give Gentoo a try so that I could actually learn what is going on behind this GUI.
When I look at the available list of USE flags, I'm like "hell ya I want that" on just about every single one of them! At least based on the short discription given in the docs -- am I going overboard with this flag, or is it common to have a lot of those options there?

I'm installing this on a PII 400MHz laptop, PCMCIA support is required, and will be using WindowMaker as my window manager.
Can someone help point out the flags that are a "must" and some that I should probably consider?

Nick
