Ok, while attempting to configure Konsole, I've somehow hosed my default session so that Konsole quits immediately after starting. How can I fix this? Also, how can I configure it to run 'source /etc/profile' when I start it?
konsole's configuration is stored in ~/.kde/share/config/konsolerc so if you close konsole, delete that, then re-open it, your settings will be restored to the defaults.
I just found that a few minutes ago.
as for it sourcing /etc/profile, that has nothing to do with konsole and everything to do with your bash config. but mine's always done that and i don't know how it happens :-( sorry.
I also just figured this out. I changed the shell from 'bash' to 'bash --login' and it sources /etc/profile automatically.
