yes, yes i do. here's my relavent hardware config:

asus a7v motherboard
ati all-in-wonder radeon
creative soundblaster live! value
toshiba dvd rom

i did indeed have the missing /dev/video0 problem, but get this, it's doesn't
need to be there if you just wanna watch tv. basically, the X drivers
provided by gatos provide a separate overlay interface (i don't know what
that means) that talks to your video card and pipes the output directly to
the xv interface in X. so now that i have tv on my box, there's no
/dev/video0 directory and nothing in /dev/v4l/.

in the kernel i have the following:

  Character devices --->
    [*] VIA chipset support (for my via chipset)
    <M>   ATI Radeon

  Multimedia devices --->
    <*> Video For Linux
    Video For Linux --->
      [*] V4L information in proc filesystem
      <*>   BT848 Video For Linux

  Sound --->
    <*> Sound card support
    <*>   Creative SBLive! (EMU10K1)

and in my X config i've got nothing particularly interesting... i'm using the
"radeon" driver and have agp set to 4x.

i'll send you a copy of my kernel config and Xconfig off-list.
