        Thanks for the link. As you see, I haven't updated the gnome-python 
in quite a while but as far as I know, all I need it for is eroaster.

I tried your suggestion, Klaus but that didn't do it. I find that the 
ebuild is good, at least for gnome-python 1.4.4 but there's a problem 
with the tarball in portage.
