In the mean time though how do I starx from the command line or KDE from the command line so that I can get off this Win98 machine and onto the Gentoo machine and configure my dialup connection. I've been running back and forth the last 2 days between computers and its starting to get alittle annoying if you know what I mean. Thanks for your response.
