Per /usr/share/doc/amavis/README.postfix.gz, I setup postfix.
Here is what I have in main.cf:
content_filter = vscan
And in master.cf:
vscan unix - n n - 10 pipe user=amavis
argv=/usr/sbin/amavis ${sender} ${recipient}
localhost:10025 inet n - n - - smtpd -o content_filter=
I checked and then reloaded postfix. After that, nothing would go through.
I see this in my mail.log.
Sep 19 18:02:26 fuggle postfix/qmgr[26867]: warning: connect to transport
vscan: Connection refused
I tried running amavis manually and no ports are opened (bah!).
Sometimes, there is something to be said for the easy of Microsoft products,
even if they are the cause of my current nightmare.
