Thanks for the suggestion. I actually planned on doing this already though, as this is 
the only
choice at this point.

Next time I upgrade the Kernel, is there a way to have it use the settings used in the previous
kernel setup? Or do we actually have to go into the kernel menu and reconfigure all the kernel
settings manually each time?



Hi Joshua,


you can copy your old .config file to the new directory. If you run make oldconfig after that your are prompted for all new modules to say if you want to include them or not, so you don't have to check every page in menuconfig.
