Hi, the best thing i can reccomend is that you get a nice box with a dns cache and your choice of qmail,exim,postfix and then queue the mail on that machine alone it will make life slightly easier to do.
Also make sure that your upstream isp knows about your mass mailings as they might get a complaint and decide to cut you off. Your biggest bottlenecks will probably come with disk I/O, Bandwidth and DNS. Other than that you should be able to do that know problem. If you need any help feel free to mail me.
