I'm about to start installing Gentoo on a new Pentium 4 box. I need to know if it's safe to use -march=pentium4 in the CFLAGS, or if there's still potential problems with sse2 or segfaulting after compiling or whatever.
Will the version of gcc that the current livecd has on it be safe with a
pentium 4?
The sooner I know the sooner I can start installing and play with my new
computer.
