I believe root servers typically refresh every 12 hours.  I know that when
I was involved in an IP change, we drastically decreased the TTL before
changing the IP's.  I also recall having a problem in that we couldn't
update our NS records because someone was using us for DNS - that took a
call to the registrar of the offending site.  I assume you've already
talked with your registrar about this change.

Right now I can see the 65.x.x.x IP for ufies.org.
