Hi,
can anyone help me with configuring VIA sound on gentoo?
My card is:
bash-2.05b# grep audio /proc/pci
Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233 AC97 Audio
Controller (rev 64).
I have recompiled my kernel with soundcard support as module and VIA82c686 and
Oss sound both as modules. Then I emerged alsa-drivers and made
module-updates.
And this is what I see during boot:
Oct 7 10:31:14 amber rc-scripts: Unable to find any ALSA drivers. Have you
compiled alsa-drivers correctly?
Oct 7 10:31:15 amber rc-scripts: ERROR: Failed to load necessary drivers
