I don't know if this is relevant to the HP5200, but for my HP5300 at least I
also had to have the following special kernel module (under USB support in
'make menuconfig':
<M> USB Scanner Support
<M> HP53xx USB scanner support
It looks like it's specific to the 53xx scanners, so it might not be any help
to you. :-/
